SaGa is a series of groundbreaking role-playing games, created by legendary game developer Akitoshi Kawazu (FINAL FANTASY, FINAL FANTASY II, SaGa Frontier). Players will be able to experience the game in different and exciting ways depending on their choices, while discovering unique worlds, technology and magic. Players will experience this role-playing adventure as one of eight heroes through the free-form story system, with each character engaging in their own story and goals, exploring the sci-fi fantasy universe known as the name of “The Regions”. SaGa Frontier Remastered builds on the multiple storylines of the original cult classic by introducing previously cut content, including Fuse's main storyline and several new events for fan-favorite character Asellus. SaGa Frontier Remastered is part of SQUARE ENIX's SaGa franchise, which already includes Western versions of Romancing SaGa™ 2, Romancing SaGa™ 3, SaGa SCARLET GRACE: AMBITIONS and Romancing SaGa Re univerSe™. As such, grinding doesn’t make a whole lot of sense in SaGa Frontier Remastered, as enemies will not be all that easier if you keep improving stats over and over.
SaGa Frontier Remastered employs a Battle Rank system that scales enemies’ stats depending on yours, always providing a good challenge and preventing over leveling. Interestingly enough, characters do not exactly need to use them in battle, as queueing them for use is considered as used by the game, so you still get the chance to increase WP and JP even without actually using the Art or Magic.Īs your characters get better over time, so will the enemies. To increase WP and JP, on the other hand, you need to use Arts and Magic. For a long time, it has been thought that receiving damage increased the chances of this happening, but it seems like this is not the case. Every character starts with a set amount that can be increased over time.Īs a general rule, just taking part in battles gives characters the chance of increasing their maximum HP value. WP and JP, on the other hand, are the SaGa Frontier Remastered version of the traditional MP, as they are used to unleash Arts and Magic respectively. Once all LPs are lost, the only way to bring the character back is by resting at an inn. The first keeps track of the character’s health, and, once depleted, will force the character in a downed state where their LPs are lost every time they are attacked. Among the attributes that can be increased are HP, WP, and JP. SaGa Frontier Remastered, like the previous entries in the series, lets characters improve their stats by taking part in battles.

How To Level Up In SaGa Frontier Remastered Foregoing the traditional leveling system entirely, the game lets character grow their powers naturally as they fight all sorts of enemies.
In this regard, SaGa Frontier Remastered is not all that different from all games that came before it. This system, however, does get a little confusing, as none of the SaGa games fully explains how it works. Ever since the very first entry in the series, the SaGa franchise set itself apart with its unique gameplay mechanics, including some unique growth systems that feel more natural than the regular experience points and level up systems employed by role-playing games for years.
